Hi! I'm Dr. Jen!
Creator & Owner of Healthy Dr. Jen
For years, I lived in the fast pace of emergency medicine — helping others survive while quietly running myself into the ground.
On paper, I looked healthy.
But underneath the surface, I was exhausted, inflamed, stressed, and disconnected from the rhythms my body was designed for.
When I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, everything changed.
That journey forced me to ask deeper questions:
Why are so many women struggling?
Why are symptoms normalized for women in midlife?
Why are we told fatigue, weight gain, anxiety, poor sleep, and burnout are “just part of life”?
I knew there had to be a better way.
My own healing journey led me into integrative and root-cause medicine — where I began to understand the profound connection between hormones, metabolism, nervous system health, lifestyle, nutrition, faith, and the body’s ability to heal.
Today, I help women restore strength, energy, resilience, and peace through a science-backed, faith-rooted approach to health.

What I Believe
I believe the body was designed with incredible wisdom.
I believe healing often requires slowing down enough to listen to what the body is communicating.
I believe women deserve more than symptom management.
I believe strength matters — physically, mentally, and spiritually.
And I believe health is ultimately about stewardship:
having the energy, clarity, and resilience to live out the purpose God has placed on our lives.
Beyond the Clinic
When I’m not caring for patients, speaking, or creating educational content, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, lifting weights, tending to our mini farm, or enjoying quiet moments in nature. I believe some of the most healing rhythms in life are often the simplest ones — nourishing meals, movement, sunlight, rest, community, and time with God.
My life outside the clinic continually reminds me that health is not about perfection. It is about stewardship, resilience, and creating a life that allows us to show up fully for the people and purpose we’ve been called to.
Credentials & Training
I am a double board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine and Integrative Medicine. I earned my medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed my residency training at St. Vincent’s Mercy Hospital, and completed fellowship training through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine.
Over the years, I have become deeply passionate about root-cause medicine, hormone health, metabolism, longevity, nervous system regulation, and helping women navigate perimenopause with both science and compassion.
In addition to clinical practice, I am an author, national speaker, educator, and advocate for whole-person wellness. My work has included speaking nationally on topics related to hormones, peptides, metabolism, and integrative health, while continuing to bridge evidence-based medicine with lifestyle, faith, and long-term resilience.
I proudly serve on the board of IDA- The invisible Disabilities Association to advocate for all of those dealing with an invisible disability.
